This online workshop is coming up Sunday, June 22nd, at 2pm (Eastern Daylight Time).

Geeshie Wiley & LV Thomas’s “Pick Poor Robin Clean” was featured in the recent breakout film Sinners! In this workshop, I’ll talk a little about the song, the movie, and show you how I play and sing the song – which I learned from my dad as a kid, and have played for many years and recorded several times. Techniques include Piedmont style blues finger-picking, alternating bass, and a little bit of vocal scatting! You can attend in real time, and/or watch the video replay. Plus, you’ll get tablature and lyrics for the song!

This workshop is aimed at intermediate guitar players, who can play basic root chords and have done some finger picking. It will also be great for advanced players who want to expand their repertoire. Intermediate beginners will also be able to pick up some tips, and can continue to work on the song after the workshop by watching the replay and using the tablature.

The one-hour workshop is $39, and includes:
