2026 is really starting out on a high note – we’re on the cover of Blues Matters today!
Happy New Year!
What a thrill to wake up to this – becoming a cover girl (and boy) in the January 2026 issue of the UK’s premier blues publication – Blues Matters Magazine! Everything fell into place, and I think it turned out great, with a perfect cover photo by Adam Kennedy, and a wonderful interview and article by Colin Campbell.

The Story of the Cover Story…

On our recent UK tour, we met up with our friend, the fabulous music photographer Adam Kennedy – anyone who knows us has seen his photos. Though we’d never met in person, a couple of years ago I did two remote photo shoots with him, in which he captured some of my favorite images – he controlling the shutter remotely from Newcastle, with us at home in our apartment in Boston. One of those photos is even featured on the front of our new album! So we were really happy when our tour schedule took us to the northeast this time, not far from Adam’s neighborhood in Sunderland, so we could finally properly meet. While we were there, we got to do our first in-person photo shoot together in his studio (where he is in this pic), and the results are featured throughout the magazine, including a nice spread!

A couple days later, I had a chance to interview with Colin Campbell (after rescheduling due to our crazy tour schedule). We had a really fun conversation via video chat – me in a hotel in Manchester and Colin in Scotland. (Pic of us together is from our Edinburgh show a week or so later…) I wasn’t sure where the article would be coming out, so imagine my surprise when it became the cover story for one of my favorite magazines! It’s a fun read, we talked about the UK tour and all kinds of other stuff. Check it out here:

In other news… I’ve got some great upcoming shows, an online guitar workshop (Sun., Jan. 25th), and some cool new album accolades, all below with links! Thanks for reading!!
With joy, blues, and holiday cheer,
xo,
Erin
