Happy Thanksgiving!
We had so much fun in Spain and England â the tour went great! And I still have lots of photos & videos to share, a few of which are sprinkled throughout this newsletter. To tell the truth, coming back was a little hard⌠But weâre so thankful that we made it home safely to our kitty Elwood, and weâre glad to have the holiday season to spend some time with family and friends (and hopefully keep our minds off politics).
This week, weâre headed down to my home state of Maryland for Thanksgiving, as well as our sometimes-annual post-T-day show at 49 West in Annapolis this Saturday! If youâd like to attend, make sure to get a table reservation, details are below.
Then in December, we have more occasions to celebrate, with several different holiday-themed shows in Massachusetts and Connecticut, including two very special holiday shows featuring special guests â 12/14 at the Bull Run in Shirley, MA and 12/20 at Sanctuary in Maynard, MA. While we were away, our drummer, Shawn Meehan, was out hiking, enjoying the unseasonably warm weather, and managed to break his ankle, so heâs out of commission for a few months. Weâre sending him so much healing energy, and hoping he heals up soon! In the meantime, we welcome our old friend (and former Lovewhip drummer), Art McConnell, whoâll be filling in for our upcoming shows. Art played on our album âVirtual Booty Machineâ.
Thatâs just about all the news I have time for right now, though Iâll have lots more exciting stuff to share soon. Over the next month, Jim and I will be putting the finishing touches on our next album, a tribute to Mississippi John Hurt, and getting ready for our Florida tour in January â dates to be announced soon, stay tuned!
