Happy February darlin’!

2019 is off to a great start, I just returned from the International Blues Challenge in Memphis, where I made it to the semi-finals, saw many old (and new) friends, and made some great contacts. It was also a lot of fun. Big thanks going out to the Boston Blues Society, fellow semi-finalists Soul Box and the rest of the Boston crew who came down, and all you watching from home! Love you all!! One of the most special parts of being in Memphis for me this year was getting to play the Women in Blues Showcase 2019.

It was so cool to be part of an event that celebrates the feminine side of the blues. I loved seeing and meeting so many beautiful blueswomen with so many diverse styles of blues, playing different instruments, of all ages, and some great guys too who came out to support onstage (like Jim)! Thanks to Michele Seidman for organizing this great event as well as to the sponsors and everyone who came out!

FEBRUARY HIGHLIGHTS!

Thurs. 2/28 I'll be opening for Jontavious Willis at the Bull Run in Shirley, MA! Acoustic blues fans won't want to miss this one! Jontavious is an absolutely fantastic young acoustic blues talent, showman, and friend, who comes highly recommended by none other than the great Taj Mahal and Keb Mo! “Only a few like him emerge every decade or so, when even the most hard core blues fans realize immediately that this is the real deal.” Living Blues Magazine
