Christmas Swing makes DownBeat's 2018 Yuletide Music Roundup!!!

We are very excited to announce that we made DOWNBEAT MAGAZINE's 2018 Yuletide Music Roundup with our very first holiday release!!! How cool is that?!? (I have always wanted to be on a list that included the great Diana Ross!!) “Singer and guitarist Erin Harpe spans the gap between historic blues and rockabilly, satisfying a roots music fan’s thirst for a sound that is both comforting and edgy. Not content to put up with even a nanosecond of complacency, she and The Delta Swingers inject skewed fun into originals—including the title track, a jingle-bells version of their old tune “The Delta Swing”—and tinsel-strung renditions of gems written or popularized by Lead Belly (“Christmas Is A-Comin’”), Bessie Smith (“At The Christmas Ball”), Lightnin’ Hopkins (“Merry Christmas”) and Chuck Berry (the evergreen “Run Run Rudolph”). Too many visits to the wassail bowl: “Drink And Get Drunk,” a kazoo-driven revival of a Bo Carter country-blues number.”

Pretty exciting!! You can still get your order in and get your copy in time for Xmas! And throw in some other cool merch – all 40% off! All CD's come signed!!

Also make sure to LISTEN/SAVE the album on Spotify, Apple Music, Google Play Music, or wherever you listen online! Links here

THANK YOU!!! I'd like to send out a great big heartfelt THANKS to all who pre-ordered the album – I really hope it's making your holidays brighter!

I also want to say how grateful I am to everyone who has donated to my GoFundMe to get to Memphis for the International Blues Challenge! It's currently 62% funded!! If you still want to help, there's still a few weeks to join. Thanks!!!

Hope to see you and celebrate in person this season! Coming up this month we have several Holiday/Album Release Parties and appearances, and our upcoming schedule is here! Stay tuned for next month, when I'll be announcing exciting tour plans including the UK in March! Peace and love to “all holiday drop outs that are busy making their own extended families this year” (to quote one of our recent reviews). Have a wonderful, musical holiday season!
