Happy August! (My birth month!)
I hope you’re having a nice summer! We’ve been keeping ourselves busy, moving towards some big things we have coming up. It’s an exciting time, and we have some big announcements this month! We got our album release date from our label VizzTone, and I’m now working on the designs for the album art and new merch!! Our big news:
- Friday Oct. 24th is Album Release Day for our new album “Let The Mermaids Flirt With Me: A Tribute To Mississippi John Hurt”!
- But first, on September 12th, the first single Candy Man comes out!
- Thursday, October 9th is our hometown/Boston area Album Release Party at the Bull Run in Shirley! Tix on sale now!
- US East Coast Tour Dates - over the next two months we have 3 mini-tours, and we hope to see some of you in New Hampshire, Vermont, Maryland, Virginia, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts & New York!
- Tour dates announced for this fall’s UK & IoM Tour!

The release date has finally been set for our new album, “Let The Mermaids Flirt With Me: A Tribute To Mississippi John Hurt”!

I’ve been hard at work writing the liner notes and designing the album cover for vinyl LPs and CDs, and dreaming up other fabulous album packages – including a new t-shirt design by our friend Dan Blakeslee, and a book of tablature & lyrics!

First SINGLE drops September 12th!
The first single, Candy Man, will be available for download & streaming on all major platforms on Friday, September 12th – in less than a month! It’s been one of my all-time favorite Mississippi John Hurt songs since I was little, and we came up with a wonderful arrangement, if I say so myself. Can’t wait for you to hear it!!

Our official Album Pre-Release Party is coming up Thursday, October 9th at the lovely and historic Bull Run in Shirley, MA! Because we will be overseas on Oct. 24th (at Colne Blues & Americana Club in the UK, to be exact), we wanted to have a hometown celebration of the new album before we go. We are excited to be coming to the 1st annual Philadelphia Blues Society Blues Festival, along with a great lineup including Erin Harpe Country Blues Duo, Danielle Miraglia, Mikey Junior, Billy The Kid & The Regulators, King Solomon Hicks, and The Philly Blues Kings! This all-day event features an outdoor stage with food trucks, a beer garden and numerous vendors. Held on the festival grounds of the beautiful campus of Temple University, with an alternate setting of the auditorium in case of rain. Tickets are only $40 for the full day. 11am-6pm. TICKETS
